Two Lanes Wide is a Hanson fanfic written by Kaylee. It, along with its sequels, have been edited multiple times. The original version was written from January to April 2002, then edited in December. It was edited again from mid-2004 to 2005.

Regan Carter (pronounced Ray-gun) is a sixteen year old girl who's lonely life collides with Zac Hanson's on the road during the summer of 2002, when she joins the tour with her brother, Hanson's new back-up keyboardist, in order to run away from her problems. She has a tendency to run away like that, and it's no exception when yet another person in her life steps all over her. She leaves home and meets Zac, a boy who learns to love and understand her better than anyone else ever could. In each other Regan and Zac find the friend they've both been looking for, but that's only how their story begins.

A sudden heartbreak gets her into trouble on the last day of school, and as a result her overbearing mother sends her away to join her musician brother as he takes his debut on tour as the opening act for his friends, Hanson. Though she leaves behind her two best friends Billy and Janie, a whole new world of possibilities and adventures open up to her when she meets Zac, a boy who learns to love and understand her better than anyone else ever could. But as the two of them grow close, so does the inevitable end to her summer vacation, looming low and threatening to force their paths apart.
Don't Look Back/Blind and Waiting
The original sequel was published from April to September 2002 and edited in December. It was titled Don't Look Back and had forty one chapters. Blind and Waiting, the rewritten sequel, was posted in 2005 and only made it to seven chapters.

For a year, Zac's been hiding all of his heartache from his world back in Tulsa since after the tour ended. He's been in love with Regan Carter (pronounced Ray-gun) since the day he met her, and even though he hasn't seen her since she left, that hasn't changed. Now it's summer again and Regan is back to spend it her brother and his wife, Abby, in Tulsa. Regan shows up seeming a lot different from how she was a year before. But as he helps her pull herself back together, those thickly romantic feelings arise, and with them are those damned obstacles...

Zac Hanson has been keeping his feelings to himself, but everybody knows how much he misses Regan Carter, the girl who spent last summer hand in hand with him before being forced to leave early when a horrible tragedy struck her life. He's been trying to keep in touch with her, but she's always been just beyond his reach. Now Summertime has come around again and Regan is back to spend it with her brother and his budding family after showing up on the doorstep of his new home in Tulsa, battered and broken and in desperate need of healing. The opportunity to reconnect with her comes knocking for Zac, and though the road is a bumpy one he dives straight into it, beginning an unsteady walk across a high tightrope to bring back the girl he used to know.
On the Edge/So Far Away
The original third story in this series was titled On the Edge. It was written from September 2002 to April 2003 and reached a total of forty one chapters. At some point, the title was changed to So Far Away.

After deciding that they wouldn't allow anyone to tear them apart, a few days on the road lands Regan and Zac in southern California. Zac keeps himself busy by focusing on himself and Regan, doing his best to make a happy home for Regan and keep her safe from the people that she wants to be away from. Regan tries to convince herself that she's stable and cured of all mental illnesses. Being in denial is simply not an option.
Crash and Burn
This was the original forth story in the series. It was written beginning in April 2003 and reached thirty one chapters but was not completed.

Crash and Burn brings Regan and Zac into the summer of 2005 where their fate merges once again for their dramatic finale. Zac runs from constant uncertainty and obsession only to find his way again and Regan discovers a long lost future outside a relationship of lies and abuse. She finds her family in Zac and his brothers in Los Angeles where they begin to rebuild their relationship on the pillars of their past. But when push seems more like shove and shove comes to fall, Zac needs to figure out how to pick up the pieces to keep his heart in place, and Regan needs to learn to face the one thing she's always been afraid to face -- herself.
Awards
Crash and Burn received nominations in the HNG Awards. Two Lanes Wide received awards in the Feel What I Dream Awards, Hanfic Pullitzers and Reckless Abandon Awards. It is also featured in the PlaceToHide.net hall of fame.
