Twilighted is a Twilight fanfic archive with an associated discussion forum that accepts most ships, ratings and genres. Twilighted was founded by Psymom after her popular RPF, Stranger Than Fiction, was TOSsed by fanfiction.net administrators, which disallows the RPF genre.

All fanfiction submissions to Twilighted go through a validation process in which each story is appointed a "validation beta." This process can take anywhere from one hour to two months, depending on the speed of the validation beta and the nature of the submission. New stories take longer to have validated. The Twilighted validation process has in the past come under scrutiny when various authors have been turned away for such creative liberties as characterization and plot.

On August 11, 2010 the site hosted 2941 authors (of 141780 members) and 5503 stories.[1] In August 9, 2024 the statistics are: 3156 (of 216396 members) and 5988 stories.[2]

Rules

The archive has rules restricting incest and underage stories, as well as rapefic:

All ships are acceptable, including slash pairings that are tastefully done and well written, but as discussed below, pedophilic pairings and incest pairings are NOT acceptable. If a multi-chaptered story is found to violate our shipping policy after it has been accepted, all chapters of the story will be deleted from the site.

Twilighted does not accept submissions that deal with incest (except among the adopted siblings of the Cullen family, of course), pedophilia (except between centenarian vampires and 17 year old humans), necrophilia (except with vampires of course) or bestiality (with the exception of werewolves, of course). (What kind of book is this Twilight, anyway? Sheesh!) Stories involving racial intolerance, rape as titillation, and romantic relationships among HUMAN adopted children raised as siblings are also not acceptable.[3]
