Transformers: Robots in Disguise is a TV series from the Transformers franchise. It began airing in the US in March 14 2015, although it premiered in China in late December 2014 and in various other countries weeks before its US airdate. It ended on November 11, 2017. It is a sequel to Transformers: Prime, sharing most of the worldbuilding and the character of Bumblebee.

Fandom

While the fandom is small, character and pairing patterns are apparent. Grimlock, a faction-confused Dinobot who is one of the main characters of the show, appears in over half the stories at AO3, often paired with the team leader Bumblebee or the minicon Fixit. Like Transformers Prime, it features a female character in the main cast, and the minicons Slipstream and Jetstorm as aids to the Japanese coded version of Drift.

As the series shares a fanfiction.net World filter with Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001), there's no information to be gained from that site.

Continuity

This series is a sequel to Prime, and it shares most of the worldbuilding established in that series, although the events of Prime led to many changes. It is also in the same continuity as Transformers: Rescue Bots and the expanded universe originally created for Prime.
