The expanded universe of Transformers: Prime, a series in the Transformers franchise, is larger than any other continuity except Generation 1. It mostly consists of video games and novels, generally covering the same time period - the beginning of the war, the last days of Cybertron, and the journey to Earth. War for Cybertron is notable as the very first material ever released in the "Aligned continuity", despite Prime being the flagship series.
Fandom
The fandom for the expanded universe is minimal, possibly because of its inaccessibility and relative obscurity. The tag for Transformers: Exodus is synned to the War for Cybertron tag on AO3, presumably including the sequels to both, and between them they have slightly more than 30 fanworks. fanfiction.net does not distinguish between these series and Prime in their World filtering.
Continuity
It is obviously in the same continuity as Transformers: Prime, and through that series Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) and Transformers: Rescue Bots. The various parts of the expanded universe contradict the core series, each other, and themselves with regularity[1], which has led to them being all considered separate micro-continuities. They were presented in some promotional material as being part of the Transformers Generation One continuity, but this is incorrect.
