Transformers: Rescue Bots is an animated television show in the Transformers franchise that ran from 2012 to 2016. Unusually for a Transformers series, it is aimed at preschoolers and includes no Decepticons. It is set in the same continuity as Transformers: Prime. It is about the adventures of a group of rescue worker Autobots (the titular Rescue Bots) who arrive on Earth and are assigned by Optimus Prime to work with a group of human rescue workers, the Burns family, on the island of Griffin Rock.

Fandom

While the target demographic of preschool children rarely participates in fandom, Rescue Bots has managed to attract a number of older fans. Some of them feel that it's better-written or otherwise preferable to Transformers: Prime; others enjoy it entirely separately from Prime. Much of the fandom for the show is on Tumblr, although like the Prime fandom, fanfiction is often posted elsewhere (commonly on AO3) and linked.

Continuity

Rescue Bots shares a continuity with Prime and Robots in Disguise 2015, and characters from Prime make occasional appearances. It is concurrent with Prime. As with every Transformers series, it has a toyline and some comics.
