Tomoyo Daidouji is Sakura's best friend as well as second cousin. (It is revealed that her mother was Sakura's mother's cousin.) She videotapes Sakura's adventures and sews costumes for her.
Although not explicitly stated, it is heavily implied that Tomoyo is in love with Sakura. She knows Eriol watches Sakura because she does as well, and she states several times that as long as her special person is happy, she is happy (implying that as long as Sakura is happily in love with Li, she is satisfied).
