Tokio Hotel is German band that has an international following and a huge fandom. It was the biggest RPF fandom on Fanfiktion.de in 2010. Most of the fanfic centers around Bill and/or Tom Kaulitz, the two founders. Bill/Tom is the most prominent slash pairing, either as twincest or as an AU.
History
- 2005: only popular in German-speaking countries
- 2007-2009: Europe-wide success, peak fandom activity? (forum boards, LiveJournal communities)
Given that the most popular pairing is an incest pairing, most fanworks were (are?) posted in locked archives and communities.
