Reactions and Reviews
This fourth in the series of novel-length books by Kehoe of Vincent's World Press recapitulates Vincent's life, from childhood to very old age, in a series of brief, loosely connected vignettes. Most of these derive from series episodes and depend rather heavily on the reader's familiarity with the whole series. The story becomes Continued Classic after V's collapse in Catherine's apartment during the Trilogy when, according to this tale, they became lovers, then married and had children, one of whom resembles Vincent. Another, a daughter, marries the son of Elliot Burch and wife Brooke. Unlike Kehoe's writing for the sitcom-oriented Vincent's World series, these books are serious. The emphasis on graphically described sex is still present, but more subordinated to other story elements. A pleasant recapitulation (and extension) of the series for those who already know it well and will appreciate the avoidance of 3rd season, with a strong but not dominating emphasis on graphic V/C sex. Rosemarie Hauer's artwork is particularly nice here. [1]
