Tiger Lily Roar, also known as Lily Ann Lyones, was a fanfiction writer on Fanfiction.net who created works in the DC Comics, Supernatural, Criminal Minds and The Avengers fandoms. She is best known for writing Linchpin, a Young Justice suspense/thriller fic that became one of the highest reviewed and rated Young Justice works on Fanfiction.net.
Lily died by suicide on April 10th, 2023. Eva, a friend of Lily, announced her passing on April 19th, 2023. On December 30th, 2024, with the assistance of the Organization for Transformative Works' Open Doors team, Eva and Lily's family created the account Remembering Tiger Lily Roar Memorial on Archive of Our Own. The account crossposts Lily's fanworks from Fanfiction.net, acting as a memorial and preserving Lily's works. The import was completed in February 2025.
Personal life
Tiger Lily Roar, also known as Lily Ann Lyones, began writing when she was young.
She wrote Hardy Boys fanfiction with her mother and was a diehard Frankgirl. She fell in love with Dick Grayson as Robin on the Young Justice TV series and delved into the world of DC Comics.
She was seventeen when her mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and hospitalized, but neither stopped writing. They would spend hours each day planning and writing much to the amusement of the rest of her family. Sadly, when Linchpin was only partially complete, in October 2011 Lily's mother passed away.
After a break to mourn her loss, Lily returned to the world she and her mother created and finished "Linchpin". It became one of the most read and reviewed Young Justice story on FFNet and is still being read and favorited.
She continued to write, mostly Young Justice oneshots, She expanded into several other fandoms, including Harry Potter multi-chapter crossovers, but she always came back to Young Justice.

[Linchpin]: OH MY GOD I REMEMBER READING THIS ON FF.NET decades agooo!! I remember angerly posting in the comments how the DC should totally do a storyline like this story when they had such a golden opportunity. Then years later when the kinda tried...right after the huge reboot and none of Dicks canon relationships with the rest of the DC universe were as clear or even existed I thought about this fic alot! I'm going to download this and have a screen reader read it to me later this weekend but wow! [7]

In 2013, Lily was involved in a major motor vehicle accident in which she suffered life-threatening injuries. Even when she began to recover, she was left with physical limitations and chronic pain. It was difficult for her to focus for long periods of time and sadly was unable to continue writing as often as she once did. Without this outlet, she began to struggle with her mental health as well. On April 10, 2023, Lily died from suicide.
Lily is remembered by her four brothers, friends and family, and a fan base that will always remember her story telling.
[Eva]: I got to know Lily through our shared love of writing. While we may never have met in person, we spoke frequently and often about the stories she was working on and those she wanted to tell. Sadly, she battled with her physical and mental health for most of the time I knew her and, on April 10 2023, she chose to end her own life.If you or someone you know is struggling for whatever reason, please reach out ! You are not alone! You are loved and cherished and you matter to someone, even if you haven't met that someone yet! You are not broken! You do not need to be fixed!
