This story had a lot of the elements I like -- jealousy and Spock in pon farr. I liked Spock's imagining what his captain would look like naked and what it would be like to touch or caress his T'hy'la. Spock's visual inspection of Bray and the man's 'deficiencies' brought a smile to my face. And wouldn't it be just like Uhura to recognize what was going on and help in her special and perceptive way.

The seductive scene in the sauna was nice, I was only sorry when it ended -- too soon for me. An enjoyable story.

I loved Spock being jealous.

And Kirk was so in character with his "You didn't really think I'd let that little shit take you to bed..." and then the softer tone of "I know you're in trouble... I know you need a mate."

I really like this one.

A good premise, Spock's medical condition due to aborted pon farr; a hormonal imbalance combined with love for Kirk; he is out of control. Comes just thinking about Kirk. Yes.

A welcome-back party for Kirk. I didn't really find it likely that Spock would try to make Kirk jealous, unless it was due to the fact that he had had a few drinks, but this also was not totally convincing. It could have been perfectly credible if Spock had been shown a little more undeniably to have taken leave of his senses due to his physical condition.

I liked Uhura's part in this. She knows the score, and maneuvers Kirk and Spock together to the sauna. There was some excellent insight into Vulcan mentality.

And lots of really fine sensual images. In the sauna, Spock straddles Kirk's thighs and gives a back massage. But then no explicit sex.
