Thermoform is a Fraser/RayK story by Kellie Matthews.

It is the second in the "You Never Know" series, following Leap.

Author's Notes

"Rated NC-17 for very unsafe M/M sex. As usual, Benton Fraser and Ray Kowalski belong to Alliance/Atlantis, not me. This is the 'sequel' to which Leap ended up being the prequel. It turned into rather more than a PWP, at least length-wise.

Soundtrack: Great Big Sea: Donkey Riding *snicker*. Jann Arden: Ode to a Friend & Piece Of It All."

Reactions and Reviews

How about reason number 1 why this story must be read - It's written by Kellie Matthews.

Kellie is one of my absolute favorite DS authors. She writes long, plotty, hot, in-character, sexy, snarky, hot, funny, HOT, HOT, HOT DS stories. I think my main problem this month was trying to pick just one to rec, but if I could only reread one Kellie story for the rest of my life...well, I'd cry and pout and curse the Gods, but then I just might pick Thermoform.

Thermoform comes after Leap, but to be honest, I think I read them out of order and it definitely stands up on it's own. Established relationship Ray and Fraser (they get established in Leap,) are out one day eating pizza, when Ray sees Fraser watching a child's birthday party with a serious eye. This leads to Ray wondering hey, just when is Fraser's birthday, and he decides to do a little snooping then next time they're at the precinct.

What follows is one of the sweetest (but never in a sickeningly sweet manner), stories about Ray trying to do things and surprise Fraser for his birthday which has just passed. It flips back and forth between Ray and Fraser pov, which helps us see and feel what both of our guys are thinking, and it manages to be funny and true and god, because it's Kellie? It's some of the hottest sex you'll ever read in your life.

But sex is just sex if there's no feeling or tenderness behind it, and lord, it's sections like this that just make my heart hurt for them both, but in such a good way. [1]
