The Wives are the group of young women enslaved by the warlord Immortan Joe to provide him with male heirs. Also called "Breeders" or "Treasures," they are imprisoned within an isolated part of the Citadel and have access to more food and water than the rest of the Citadel's inhabitants. in Mad Max: Fury Road, the five women who are part of his current harem rebel, and former Wife Furiosa helps them escape.

Fandom
Some fanfics feature the women renaming themselves after returning to the Citadel, calling themselves other that Wives so as to remove the connection to Joe.
Post-movie fanworks often have the women rebuilding the society within the Citadel, using democracy or socialism to rule instead of Joe's tyranny.
