In spite of the catchy title, I almost didn't read this. It began with Spock in the hands of Romulan captors, being forced to watch two women in a sexual encounter. But something, maybe good style, made me go on and soon I was a willing voyeur as a shapeshifter became Kirk to secure a response from Spock. The shape-shifter turned out to be a rather fascinating and benevolent traveler from a distant galaxy. Her "social observations" and mind- reading capabilities made her the perfect match-maker. The predictable ending is none the less captivating. [1]
