Fan Comments

This is a group of 4 stories parodying well-known and -loved children's stories. The author's wicked sense of humour is a pretty good match for my own, so I loved them.

THE WIZARD OF OZ has Doyle being blown away by a gust of wind and ending up in the Land of Oz where he encounters Bodie as the Tin Man, Jax as the Scarecrow, and Murphy as the Cowardly Lion. Cowley, of course, is the Wonderful Wizard.

CINDERELLA has Murphy as a meek-and-mild Cinders, Bodie and Doyle as the not-so-ugly Step-brothers, Cowley as the Step-father, and a Hairy Godfather with a magic wand who turns Cowley's bottle of whisky into a flashy motorbike so that Murphy can go to the Ball and fall in love with Princess Holly.

THE FROG PRINCBtS) has Bodie and Doyle, having been turned into frogs by a KGB drug, working a wonderful scam to get themselves kissed by beautiful Princesses.

BODIE IN WONDERLAND has Bodie as Alice encountering a White Rabbit suspiciously similar to Cowley, Murphy as a hippy Caterpillar, Doyle as the Cheshire Cat, various other CI5 agents as other characters, and Cowley (again) as the King 6f Hearts growling "Off with his head!" » a Well worth a read, for the giggle-value alone!
