My duties also did NOT include any but the most minimal amount of touching. I feel obliged to clarify these points because many people assume I spent the majority my time doing nothing but these two things. Overall, the second most popular question has been. 'Did you touch his hair?'. No, I did not." (7)

  • The Next Best Thing... by S. Kirsch and C. Lambert chats (America Online, January 20, 1995 transcript) ("Careening down the so-called information highway in this electronic age can sometimes be rather daunting. It's often too easy to become lost on that computer freeway or wind up at a dead-end still searching for something that interests you. But then, there are the times when you hit pay dirt... and all that mindless surfing pays off big! Those lucky Highlander fans who are plugged-in have had many such payoffs in the last year. Last summer and again, in December, Adrian Paul appeared on the America Online Computer Service for a live chat... For the uninitiated, the celebrity Q&A or chat, as it is often called, has become commonplace on all the on-line computer services. In these chats can connect into the main service with their computers via a modem and become a member of the audience in an auditorium setting. As a member of the audience you have the opportunity to ask questions of the guest celebrity. It's similar to being at a convention Q&A session without the face to face nervousness of facing that microphone. And, there's still a special thrill attached when you see your question pop up on the screen. Always an event, these chats take on a special excitement when it is Highlander at the other end of the phone line." (8)

Issue V.5 N.1

  • The editor's niche. Highlander: The Series completed filming the 6th and final season last fall. With the series end, a major source of information for the Club newsletter no longer exists. This has made it difficult to produce newsletters and placed the club in limbo for the last eight months. Though the combined efforts of The Gathering staff and you, we are back and have now focused our newsletter to cover continuing areas of the Highlander world. We intend to provide information on future Highlander related projects and conventions. (1)
