The Mary Sue Report was a LiveJournal community.

A similar site was The Canon Sue Report.

It has 10,709 journal entries, 90,755 comments received, 980 tags, and 810 memories. [1]

From the Profile

The community focuses on the identification and discussion of the worst Mary Sues -- fanfic, original, OR canon -- offline OR online. (And, if the latter, probably on fanfiction.net). Any genre, any gender, any rating. If it's a Mary Sue, drag it here and put a stake through its black heart before it breeds.

NOTE: Do not ask if your character is a Mary Sue, or seek construction criticism for original characters! That's what our nicer sibling oc_analysis is for. We also recommend posting LOTR and Harry Potter Mary Sues on deleterious, though it's not mandatory -- it just helps cut down the deluge.

NOTE THE SECOND: Has this godawful piece of tripe been reported before? Check your fandom's tag first.

NOTE THE THIRD: Reports that are simply a link to the Pit of Voles, or a link to another Sue sister journal, DO NOT GET TAGGED. Full reports only get tags.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Yes. We've seen the (fantabulous, mind) Pirate Monkey Mary Sue comic. Stop posting it.

LESBIAN LOVER OF ADDITIONAL NOTE: Look, it's really cute that you got a response from the enraged Suethorwriter of the fic you reviewed. Don't post it here. That's for your personal LJ. We don't, believe it or not, encourage members to tell authors that their piece of crapwork has been posted here, nor are we particularly interested in seeing what is essentially a private conversation being posted here without the consent of all parties involved. If you get a mature response, that's great! But it's, again, a personal matter. If we see posts reproducing emails or IM conversations with writers, they'll be deleted.

REVENGE OF THE NOTE: Do not post the entirety of a fic, nor the entirety of a chapter, regardless how long or short it is. If you must post more than a sample, post no more than half of a chapter. The mods are not amused when you post all but the last two lines of a single chapter. Any reports that are tagged by a mod and notified that they must cut their sample size and do not comply will be deleted without hesitation.

Have you spotted a Mary Sue? Share the pain -- fill out this form and post it to the community. Story URL is optional, though preferred, and you must apply LJ-Cuts to longer segments (especially the samples FROM the story itself). We strongly recommend you post "Friends Only" to prevent howling assaults from outraged hacks writers. ;)

IMPORTANT: When reporting, keep your samples/excerpts SHORT. Because we don't want to slog through all that drek, sure, but more importantly because posting another's fic in its entirety (or nearly so) is against LJ TOS. Don't risk it. Be choosy. Choose only the worst.
