Summary
"After a blow to the head, “Jim” is the only understandable word Spock can say, and through stranded with the landing party until the ship returns, Kirk and Spock make their feelings known for each other."
Reactions and Reviews
Kirk, Spock and McCoy and landing party are stranded in a cave after being attacked by Klingons. Spock has some sort of head injury that causes him to only be able to say one word —"Jim". If this sounds like a long, complex plot, it ain't. It's a "Karla Kelly" story of about three pages and it delivers some fun, light reading. I know of no other author who creates and shows a bunch of side characters all with just a line or two. And I know of no other author who has so many ideas! I'd love to peek at this girl's notebook! Short and silly. Light and loving. Unexplained and understandable. All these things at once, and most of all, proof that nothing much matters but love. [2]
