[The Insane Root]: Mirror Kirk and Spock make their way up a mountain in the extreme Vulcan heat (nicely shown) to Spock's estate called "Z'handar" (great name). Spock is fast approaching pon farr and has chosen Kirk as a mate, but hasn't told him yet.

Later Spock tells Kirk that he's the one for him and that if he agrees he'll have everything, but if he refuses, he'll have nothing and Spock will take him anyway.

This is a very good dilemma for mirror Kirk and he reacts with anger, especially since trust is nearly impossible for him. I thought this was an interesting issue that Kirk had to leam to deal with.

They bond and Kirk experiences love and trust as never before. Neat scene.

I really liked Kirk and Spock escaping from the reception in a grand hall to go make love. There's lots of nice emotions and some good sex. I especially enjoyed the powerful and commanding Spock and the wanton Kirk!
