The Fanfiction Webring is a multifandom webring of personal websites were fic writers host their own fanfiction. It was created by tei on June 1, 2023,[1] and is hosted on Neocities.[2]
History
Tei, who had for some time been hosting their own fanfiction on a personal Neocities site, was inspired by a mention of webrings in melannen's post How To Make Your Own Fanfiction Archive, In Just 10 Easy Steps to create their own webring of personal fic archives. They created the webring and posted about it on Dreamwidth the same day that melannen's post was published.[1]
Indexes
The webring's page contains a main index of sites in alphabetical order by site name as well as an index of fandoms represented in the ring.[2][3] Along with their sites' information, authors interested in joining the webring are asked to email tei a list of fandoms or interests that should appear in the main index and, optionally, up to three fandoms under which they would like their site to be listed in the fandom index.[4]
