Melannen is a fan writer who often leads discussion posts on Dreamwidth and has written fic in a wide variety of fandoms, including a lot of crossovers. On AO3, she has posted the most fic for Les Mis, Harry Potter, The Dresden Files, MCU, and Stargate.^[1] Her sister stellar_dust is also a fan writer.^[2]

She got into fanfiction in 2002, joined LiveJournal in 2003, and describes herself as "an inveterate polyfan and a fan of media fandom itself as much as anything."^[2] She was involved in early discussions for the Dreamwidth discussion comm Linkspam and was a tagset mod for the 2014 Invisible Ficathon exchange.
