The Creation of Spock is an illo by Pat Molnar.
It shows Sarek and Amanda (God) reaching out and touching the finger of Spock (Adam) to give him the gift of life.
It is an imitation of Michelangelo's 'The Creation of Adam.
The illo was printed in at least two zines. It is unknown if the differences between the two illos is due to a choice by the artist, or if is is because of a printing/production issue.

The single most humorous piece in the issue, probably because it wasn't intended to be funny, is a two-page creation of 'The Creation of Spock,' a glorious dollop of KITSCH based on Michelangelo's 'The Creation of Adam,' and is complete with the fingers touching between Sarek and a fully-uniformed Spock, with Amanda looking on. Technically, the painting isn't bad, but conceptually it's just too much to take seriously. [1]
I enjoyed EI #7, although I don't care for the "centrefold' - I'd seen this picture (or one very similar to it) before and I feel it's verging on blasphemy - not that I'm religiously minded, I'm not; but I feel it could give offence to anyone who is. Granted, if you can't laugh at yourself occasionally you're a pretty lost cause, but religion is a subject about which many people are very touchy. [2]
