Reactions and Reviews
1990
My only problem with this story was the rape scene. I really don't have any objections to rape scenes per se, however, when the 'victim' starts loving it and responding I get very uncomfortable. An unwilling seduction is one thing, a brutal assault is another. Other than that, this story was a good read with crisp dialogue and an interesting twist at the end. [1]
The ending of this story was disappointing. It was inconsistent with the rest of the story. Nonetheless, the story does suggest a way for Spock to keep Kirk without Kirk joining the rebellion in the alternate universe. [2]
