A totally unbelievable plot, but a terrific piece of writing... blush. [1]
2003
This is one of my favorite Karla Kelly stories. Just a short little snippet that is in turn sweet, funny, and touching. Kirk has made a bet with Spock. He will not go on a landing party to locate suspected terrorists if the Vulcan will go about his duties with an erection for one day. Spock thinks it a small price to pay to safeguard his captain, while Kirk wishes to teach his friend a bit of what it feels like to experience human sexual frustration. Only what happens is that crewmen of both sexes proceed to walk into walls, and Kirk, in imagining what Spock must be going through, nearly drives himself crazy with desire. I miss this author and wish she’d return to writing K/S.[2]
