I'm reading this fic for the third time right now, because it's amazing, and scenes like this one with Davey and Race are the reason I keep circling back. There's something really stunning about the way you've set up these versions of the characters and their relationships that never fails to captivate me. I love Davey using Race's given name to emphasise how serious he is about looking out for him, I love the callback to the joke from earlier about their ages, and I love how much they genuinely care about each other. wow, i barely have words. that was beautifully planned and wonderfully executed. i was hooked from the beginning on your interpretation of these characters and rode with them through an incredible journey from chapter to chapter. i love when authors can construct far-fetch’d circumstances and have their characters react realistically in them and you did just that. your descriptions were breathtaking, the dialogue was smooth and raw and real, and nothing was rushed. what an amazing story, definitely one of my favs of all time. keep up the great work and thank you so much for writing this <3papesdontsellthemselves[3]

This is definitely one of the best fics I have read in a long time. I love how beautifully written it is, and the personality put in each character. I've never read a modernized Beauty and the Beast AU and now I can't help but wish for more of them! The way that each character's story is told and how each have their own personal development is amazing. I love how Spot goes from this rough-around-the-edges guy who doesn't show his face and hates everything about him and his life, it someone with a genuine spark and a love for his life and those around him.
