In 1997, a fan nominated Terrie Drummonds for an ASC Award for best writer:
I don't have a complete list of nominees, but I assume that Terrie can be nominated for Best Author now (as opposed to Best New Author.) I HAVE to mention her, the author of "Converse Symmetry," one of the best DS9 stories I've ever read. Terrie succeeds with any idea she tries - and she also writes fantastic comedy (I should know - we collaborated on two stories.) I think what I like best is her dedication and passion for writing - she "crafts" her stories, she perfects them as if they were works of art (which they are!) and she carefully considers every element - the effort shows.
