This template auto-adds Category:Fiction Writing, but not all archives are for fic -- there are also fanart and fanvid archives. But changing the category is going to mean all the fanfic archives on the wiki that use the template will have to be hand-fixed, so I wanted to see if people thought it was worth doing first. --Arduinna 21:51, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't know what 'type' means? Fanfiction/fanart/fanvid or open submission/archivist's choice? --MegR 14:27, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it needs some work. The person who originally created it moved on from Fanlore ages ago, so what the hell, I'll do it. Like I said a few months ago, I think the inclusion of Category:Fiction Writing is a problem, and I hadn't even thought of the submission thing. So what would you think of a change to this:
- Name:
- Date(s):
- Archivist(s):
- Founder:
- Fanwork Type:
- Submissions:
- Fandom:
- URL:
- Where Fanwork Type is for fic/fanart/vids, and Submission is for open/moderated/invitation only, etc. ? Any other options that should be in there? (Asked on the understanding that 131 pages use this template, so if we're going to change it and update all those pages, let's only do it once. *g*) I've taken to putting a key on the templates I create, so those terms would be explained on the template page. --Arduinna 03:09, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- Only 131? Looks fine to me. --MegR 08:18, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- This looks good to me, too. Question about categories: Why is "Fan Communities" automatically included?--æthel 20:29, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
