Talk:Yaoi/slash approaches - A homoerotic subculture goes global
Date of Article?
This page asserts that the article was published in 2002, but the LiveJournal post cited on the page is from 2004, and I doubt that it would have taken the interviewees two years to discover that the article came out. I can't find the article online or indexed anywhere that might include a date. Do we have any evidence suggesting it might have come out in 2002, or is this an error? --enchantedsleeper (talk) 12:10, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know where the 2002 comes from. When I created the page, I said February 2004 or before, based on the LJ link. Mrs. Potato Head changed it in March 2017. I doubt it came out in 2002 because in the article the author says he first learned about slash fiction in December 2002 from a SF Bay Guardian piece titled "Harry Potter Gets Laid". If he only learned about it in December 2002, it's unlikely that he could also reseach the subject and write and publish an article about it in the same month.--Doro (talk) 12:29, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, Doro! I will change it back to 2004. --enchantedsleeper (talk) 13:11, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
