section on sexuality

I’m a bit uncomfortable with the section on sexuality as a whole - yes in canon, they may both be hetero-appearing but that is common among many M/M or F/F pairings in many fandoms, so it feels a little redundant, especially since we often prefer not to focus on repeating canon information. However, I’m more uncomfortable with the fanon sexuality section, because although those may be commonly-written orientations, part of the amazing opportunities in fanworks is that we can write or read less-common orientations/expressions/etc, so I hesitate for anything on the page to seem like it assumes. Can you talk a bit about what you feel it adds to the page? Joanna R (talk) 18:08, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello.

(Copying in my original starting post from the topic fanworks examples - this was a separate topic above, but copying it in here to keep the conversation in one thread)
Bunnieloon it's great that you added more fanworks examples, and I love that beautiful watercolor-esque fanart on the side of the page, it adds color to the whole page! However, why did you remove all the fanart and fanfic examples I added? It's *great* to have editors add more examples, but I'm not sure why you deleted all the examples I'd added to the page without a note on the Talk page about why. Hello. Sorry, I'm still new to this type of thing, so I hope I am responding where I'm supposed to be. I was trying to add new stuff, since things needed to be updated. (You also mentioned disliking a part of it, so I wanted to remove it.) I was adjusting stuff, and my cat darted across my laptop and deleted everything. I panicked saved because I didn't want anything else deleted. When I realized what happened, I felt so bad, so I tried to search for what was there that I remembered.
I'm so so sorry!
(bows.)
Yes, this is fine, thank you for responding Bunnieloon! And I sympathize, I also have a cat. :) That's fine then! It's no problem for me, I can copy in from a previous version of the page the fanworks I had on the page before, and make sure to keep the fanworks you added just in the last day or two, so it will be a combined list. Thanks for letting me know what happened! Joanna R (talk) 18:27, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
It took me awhile to get back to this, but I am adjusting the page to combine the example fanworks (fanart and fanfic) that we have both added - i.e. both the fanworks you added in March WITH the fanworks I'd previously listed in Sept 2022 that were accidentally deleted. I have also done a lot of work to retain the same info but bring the formatting/layouts in line with other relationship pages. If you think any of the example fanworks I already had on the page should be deleted, please let's talk about it here first, thank you for your time! Joanna R (talk) 20:55, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
