Talk:Virtual Convention
Has the definition changed since 2020?
I just wanted to flag that we have a definition for virtual cons that was written before 2020. I think the definition may have changed - for example, all the cons listed in the intro were virtual cons alongside in person events or small online meetups that turned into large in-person cons. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that!)I do think the definitions have changed or evolved. I have come across the term hybrid con - specifically to refer to last month's worldcon. I also think the term virtual con is now been applied to conventions that have moved all of their programming online.
So what I'm wondering now, is how can we change the intro to reflect any changes in how the term is been used? While also preserving the pre-2020 definition of a virtual con. --Auntags (talk) 15:44, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
