JadedPrism, do you mind if I throw up a {{to do}} template and add the link to it? Pinky G Rocket (talk) 21:20, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
Pinky G Rocket, not at all! :3 Thanks! -JadedPrism (talk) 23:08, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

section for members

I think there should be a section titled "members" with a list of all members and short overview. this would be consistent with other kpop fanlore pages such as BTS, seventeen and got7. some of the detail currently in intro would then be moved there. Rimeywold (talk) 03:41, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi Rimey! You did wonderful work on this page btw and I'm so grateful. I was wondering though, do the other kpop articles have such a list because the members do not each have their own page yet? Or is it an overview+personal article situation? We can totally bring that information back to this page, but I just thought it'd be suited to their personal articles, that people can click on and go visit. Absolutely no issue bringing that stuff back over here though! Or is it a situation where it doesn't matter if the information exists on both this page and their personal page? Thanks! -JadedPrism (talk) 03:45, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
I believe the construction on previous pages is mostly because of there not being individual pages for the members! But a short overview with sections (perhaps with the 3racha explanation)? might be helpful - we could see this as "canon" for the fandom, and a short overview might help for context in a way thats clearly broken out from the intro. IMO it shouldn't exceed a paragraph or max two though - just enough for context and then an internal link to the member's page? I think this function is somewhat covered by the introduction as Rimeywold mentioned; we can move the info down so its clearer to some one scannning the article? Thank you!!! I so appreciate your input. Does it look better now? -JadedPrism (talk) 17:40, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

ah yes, I think the way you've done it now works really well! Rimeywold (talk) 03:30, 24 December 2023 (UTC)

Amazing! Okay, thanks so much for your input :) I'm glad it's better. Thank you again for providing so much insight and content. -JadedPrism (talk) 03:34, 24 December 2023 (UTC)

Ethicality - moving content to censored pages

Can a knowledgeable user please weigh in? I was wondering if I should move content/content links of those who censor/block official Stray Kids accounts to avoid search engines, to pages that are titled the censored name and not linked back to the main, uncensored articles. The hub page for this side of fandom would be *like* Str4y Kids or perhaps St4y Tw1tter F4ndom. What do you think? -JadedPrism (talk) 20:42, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

I have no other fanlore experience to know what other fandoms do. but just my thoughts: I think it makes sense to keep everything together on uncensored pages. most (all?) people who censor on places like Twitter do not censor on ao3. for example, many people will write uncensored stories on ao3 and then create a censored post on twt to promote it, linking to the uncensored story. the reason I've seen for censoring on twt is that lots of non fandom people, such as reporters, family members, casual fans etc will search for kpop groups on twt and would not expect to see transformative works, but rather news, press photos, chart information etc, so users censor to try to keep transformative works out of general searches. whereas on ao3, there is an expectation that the whole site is about transformative works and anyone there is expecting/looking for it, so no need/reason to censor. I see fanlore as like ao3, in that the whole purpose of the site involves transformative works, so no need to censor. "The Organization for Transformative Works established Fanlore, its own fandom wiki, to preserve the history of transformative works and the fandoms from which they have arisen." I see linking to censored content here as similar to when writers create twts that link back to their ao3 stories. Rimeywold (talk) 02:21, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

Yes! I thought about how on AO3 it's uncensored as well. There's not a direct crossover to imply blanket consent, of course, but it's definitely something I thought - hm, I at least have something in my back pocket if someone gets up in arms about it. That's such a good point about Twitter being a hub for non-fandom folk alike. Great point. Thanks so much for weighing in, as I was feeling a lot of anxiety. -JadedPrism (talk) 16:57, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
