As a former Freedom City member who is still in contact with several people from those days the recent coverage seems quite biased. FC was proverbial for being friendly and welcoming; anyone could mention its existence to any B7 fan who wasn't fic-phobic or slash-phobic, and many gen fans joined because they found it was more friendly & relaxed on FC than on the Lyst -- which could be quite abrasive -- and much more focused on fanfiction of all types. I don't recall anyone expressing confusion or exclusion at not being permitted to read past messages -- is this based on any particular comment? Can it be linked or paraphrased? Espresso Addict, I expanded the footnote regarding old message archiving. I took out the comment that was opinion about how fans felt about it, as without any quotes or proof to back it up, it could only be read as speculation. Thanks, MPH. That seems a more balanced approach. On a side note, I wonder if we ought to split Freedom City from Space City?
