Kingstoken Help me, please!!!

A few minutes ago I told you about some types of soulmarks I knew and one of them was the skin as a communication screen between peers. I've read about it in some works -- one of HP where Voldemort is femme soulmate! Harry and he discovers this when the young woman writes the answers to a test on her thighs, under your skirt; the other was a 00Q where Q discovers he's Bond's soulmate but hides it because employees like them can't to have that kind of connection because it puts national security at risk -- and I remember being amazed by this trope. One person writing on the skin and the other seeing this writing sending messages and saying I love you. The trope appeared before the anime Your Name -- or something like that -- which has a similar theme. So I would like to know. How can we add this to the page??? -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 16:46, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I don't know that variation, however I mention on the discord and see if anyone is familiar with it -- Kingstoken (talk) 16:57, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I can only remember these two works steadfastly -- I think I still have a way to find the links -- but I know it's a common trope that I've seen cited several times. When the film Kimi no na wa came out, adapted from the manga Your Name, I had already had contact with this trope and I noticed similarities between it and some parts of the film -- I didn't see it, but they gave me a lot of spoilers. -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 17:07, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I found the 00Q I mentioned. It is called REDAMANCY, and based on two Tumblr post, in 2015 and 2016 -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 17:16, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I have asked some other editors on the discord, and they remember this type of fic, but they don't think it ever had a specific trope name -- Kingstoken (talk) 17:32, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Oh my gods, will we have to name this trope or will we be able to name it without doing so? I created the homepage about the fanfiction I mentioned. Maybe it will help. Ellakbhesse (talk) 17:39, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Okay I did some digging, through google search, and it looks like some people call this simply Writing on Skin AU, others call it Writing Soulmate AU. We could probably choose one of those for this page -- Kingstoken (talk) 17:49, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I would have thought of Skinwrite AU, but those names sound excellent. What you decide is best. I don't trust myself with deciding between one and the other. -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 18:28, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I saw skinmarking floating around too, but I wasn't sure if that was the same thing or not -- Kingstoken (talk) 18:40, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

My god this is so complicated. -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 18:48, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I think maybe we choose one name to list in the types section, and then we can say underneath it, "may also be called" and we list the other possible names -- Kingstoken (talk) 18:57, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

This is viable, a good idea -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 19:26, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Kingstoken I have very large references and even greater additional information about the subtrope Bright/Pulsing Heart also known as Glowing Heart. Do you think I should create a glossary page for it like you did with Heart Flower AU? -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 14:34, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

If you think it is common enough, and there is enough information, than sure -- Kingstoken (talk) 14:53, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

Between 2012 and 2015 very popular photo, especially in Brazil. But his popularity seems to have been uniquely and exclusively on Tumblr and Facebook. I didn't get to find -- for lack of my interest in the season -- fanfic-type works based on the subtrope. But I know there were a lot of texts on Tumblr, some fanart and so on.
