Talk:Scarlet (ST: TOS fan)

I think Scarlet should probably be a disambiguation page--it's a pretty common name. My question: how should I add fans with common names to Fanlore? The only name this fanwriter has listed is "Scarlet," so I can't add her as "Scarlet S" or "Scarlet 2" or whatever. Any insights would be much appreciated. I'm hitting a bunch of old Geocities pages, and I'm sure this problem will come up again. --Anenko 11:50, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- I've had similar problems before, though that was mostly when there was a fan who had a pseud like "Firefly" or "Shadow" that were occupied by disambiguations or fandoms, so I could just do Shadow (fan) and Firefly (fan). I think if there was no alternative pseud to use (like a LJ name or such or some other name addition/extension they've chosen at one point) I'd put a main fandom in brackets behind to differentiate, like Marge (Sentinel fan) and Marge (Star Trek fan) rather than making Marge 1 and Marge 2. If one had been an artist and one a writer I'd have put such and such (artist) and (writer) or such.--Ratcreature 12:08, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help! I should probably request that "Scarlet" be renamed "Scarlet (TOS fan)" then. --Anenko 12:58, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- "Scarlet (TOS fan)" it is! --Arduinna 08:11, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- Can someone make "Scarlet" a disambiguation page instead of a redirect? I now have a TOS and BtVS fan going by the same name. --Anenko 12:43, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
- Done, and added the other Scarlet to it. :) --Arduinna 14:35, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
