"Why Mary Sue Shaming Is Bully Culture" any chance of a link to this essay? --Mrs. Potato Head 03:40, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'd say the answer to that is no. Boosette's Dreamwidth journal is privated of flocked, and the post, if it ever was crossposted to LJ, isn't public now. I am going to edit that "dreamwidth user" line, though and make a note about the flocking.--facetofcathy 17:03, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- Quoting large parts of an essay about Mary Sue shaming in general seems off topic on this page. The PPC isn't mentioned in these quotes. Shouldn't the quote go to the Mary Sue page? I would suggest moving the quoted parts there and adding the two references to the line "The essay sparked a huge debate among fans and the article was widely quoted." If these sections are needed somehwere else for linking purposes, we could make an entry for the essay just like we would do for any fanwork. --Doro 19:16, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- All I was doing was some formatting. But I do recall that boosette's post fit within a larger general conversation about Mary Sues, but was particularly about comms like PPC, and she may have named them--it's tough that we can't see her post, but the PPC seemed to take it personally. They do a point by point response to her post, which likely should get a little more play in that controversy section rather than just a couple of links. --facetofcathy 02:07, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- She did name them and PPC's response should be in this article. Boosette has said that she will at some point upload screen shots of her post and the discussion for all to see, but hasn't yet done it. When she does I'll link it here. --KTJ 11:54, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
