Some visual fanart perspective
Just added something of my experience as a manipper, with a link to my old rant pointing out the problematics of fangirls' attitudes towards photographic fanart--how (for good, but regrettable reasons) the same fans might rear back from a manip but happily read the same thing or even look at a pencil drawing of it. Dunno if I should add something like this to the main explicit fanart and/or manip pages, as they might open up the perspectives a bit more. --Snowgrouse (talk) 13:08, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

- I was just wondering if it'd be too repetitive to say the same thing over on several articles. I've seen a few pages where it's happened and I tend to go into skim mode when I notice I've read a thing already. I guess I could try and reformat things a bit more, but it's a fine line in trying not to yell over other people when quoting myself. Feel free to cite that rant elsewhere if you know of where it might be applicable, BTW. [ETA: As in, I don't know how to make a new page for a meta article, or if it's notable enough to be included if there are no comments on the post because LJ is dead, etc.] I don't know all the places where it'd come in handy yet, but might quote it on the manip page later, as it doesn't really seem to have that much input from *actual* manippers over there. --Snowgrouse (talk) 14:23, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

- I can assist with the creation of a meta page on Fanlore for an article you want to link to. Even if there are no comments there, it is still valuable for other reasons. Let me know the link to the page and I'll set a stub page up.
