Talk:Porn
I've added a note about "Nfic", used in the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman fandom, which is almost 100% het. Has anyone ever seen the term used in a more slash-focused fandom? Espresso Addict 09:22, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- Nope, that's a new one to me --msilverstar 17:53, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- I haven't seen that one used either (in the juggernaut pairings of a few large, slash-heavy Western Media fandoms). --Sk 19:36, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'm reasonably familiar with quite a range of older fandoms and I've never seen it used outside L&C. I wonder if it's het specific? Espresso Addict 20:07, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe ask the editors who've regularly worked on Beauty and the Beast and Forever Knight pages (those have big het components and some active fl editors, I think?) if they've seen it used there? --Sk 20:16, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've never seen "nfic" used in BatB, ever. In that fandom, "consummating" is a the big term, though that word doesn't dictate the explicitness, simply the presence of penetrative sex. --Mrs. Potato Head 20:44, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Fannish activity on /coq/ - Queer Promotions and Y!gallery around 2009
I remember there were entire fandoms living only on coq and archiving on y!gallery or not at all. Does anyone else remembers this synergy? Fanart appearing on coq, some chatter, the "threads" gone inside 3 days, talk about "saving the threads" "starting new threads", links to Y!gallery for fanfic. If at all. Y!gallery was a big part of this ecosystem. As were kink-memes on LJ. It was like 90% porn though. A lot of it furry, underage, incest and other hardcore stuff. There were groups for this stuff but I don't remember how they were called on Y!gallery. It was from literally right before AO3 hit.
