Controversies

I don't think an entire section for the controversies of Karel's character is necessary. Can anyone provide actual links to the arguments being made, screecaps, etc? When most people think of controversial FE characters, Karel doesn't come to mind. It's characters like Tharja from Awakening, Corrin and Camilla from Fates, Faye from Echoes, Edelgard, Dimitri, and Rhea from Three Houses who invite notable flame wars. Karel mostly flies under the radar outside of having a niche fandom. Sj2014 (talk)

While I'm not in this fandom, the text in that section appears to have plenty of citations? And we don't have a notability requirement on Fanlore, so there's no minimum level of controversy required for a character to have a Controversies section on their page, as long as there is content in it.

Well, some of the links do check out. The tone of the page just reminds me of a psychotic Karel fan I knew back in the day, but it seems like they did their homework on this one. (The Deviantart reference link was broken, though.) Sj2014 (talk)
I've found the art meme at a different link, although our policy for dealing with dead links on Fanlore is to keep them and note that they're offline instead of removing them. See: Help:Citing sources#Handling Problems. It can also be useful to run them through the Wayback Machine to check if they're archived, though the WBM isn't playing ball at the moment.--enchantedsleeper (talk) 21:42, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
