Recreation of page

I'm aware that this page was deleted in the past for lacking fandom-related information. However, there are a good chunk of now-defunct fansites for Carpenter in general, and there are Fanlore pages for some of his films and fanworks based on them. Carpenter himself has also had interactions with fans & fanzines and has made comments about fans. There's a lot of stuff that can be added, but for now, I just want to get this page off the ground with a stub- my current focus The Thing (1982).
