Talk:Joan Meredith

It looks like this page should be called Joan Meredith and not disambiguated if there's no other Joan Meredith. Is there a particular reason not to use the character's full name?--æþel 01:28, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

No big reason, but adding last names to these characters is problematic. She's actually the only female character (that I can remember) in SH that gets referred to only as her last name, so in a crazy way, she should be "Meredith." I guess I just went with a naming pattern this morning and stuck with it. A lot of other characters' last names are NEVER mentioned or they don't even have one in the credits, making naming SH female characters tricky. [EDITED: Since a lot of last names, and in Joan Meredith's case, first name, aren't commonly used, as long as the redirect gets one where one needs to be, it all works.] On the bright side, I added ten female character pages, my trib to this month's challenge. --Mrs. Potato Head 01:47, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

I was searching the word "meredith" and this page doesn't come up. Does anyone know the reason why? ADDED: also, "Joan Meredith" in quotes gets no hits, but without quotes, gets this page. I've reported this issue. Recently created pages seem not to have been indexed by the search engine yet. There's usually a small lag, but it should be a matter of hours (minutes?) rather than days, I think.--æþel 02:58, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
