Separate out Gene?

I'd like to move Gene to its own disambig page instead of having Jean and Gene combined like this. Endofthyme (talk) 21:04, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

Makes sense to me. They really aren't the same name. --Greer Watson (talk) 21:43, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
Ok, done! Made a new disambig page over at Gene. Endofthyme (talk) 18:35, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

Reorganize, also?

The list of Jeans and Jeannes is super long, and it mixes up characters and real people (and I can't tell if any of the real people are fans or show-writers or what). I feel like the page should be organized instead by category (character, fan, celebrity) with a note at the top that this page lists Jeans Jeannes Jeannies Jeanettes etc. Doesn't need to categorize by the exact name like this. Sounds like a good plan. MPH 19:33, 11 December 2023 (UTC) MPH
I would split variations - Jean, Jeanne, Jeannie, etc. - onto their own pages, then link them together at the bottom of the page through the use of a see also section.
As for organization, the way I do it is to sort by characters vs people, then divide people up by occupation/activity, and characters up by franchise, if there is enough use to warrant a further split. This is how I've organized disambig pages; see Chan for a specific example. Pinky G Rocket (talk) 21:11, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
fwiw, for Jeannie McKay-Miller (one of the only people on this list I know), her given name in canon is Jean but she's commonly referred to as Jeannie, and if that's the case for others on this list, I can see why combining them into one page makes sense.
