- For the record, I consulted the Policy & Admin team about this and they confirmed that using square brackets in a quote to indicate a change that preserves meaning is a standard editorial practice in some circumstances, and that neither Fanlore's Citation policy nor the help page forbid doing pronoun fixes in square brackets. So I don't think Androgyneparadise's edits needed to be reverted. Also, there is no policy about "words that are offensive to the site" to my knowledge. --sparc 22:55, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
