Talk:History of K/S Fandom

Are we continuing past 1997? There are still fanzines being published and I don't know if I should bring this up but there were interesting reactions within the community when the rebooted film was released in 2009. But I mean the fandom is going strong and there is a surprising strong thread of continuity between older fans (who started watching TOS when it first aired) to newer fans because of KiScon and so on. I would be willing to work on the more recent years since I'm more knowledgeable in that area. But if someone would be willing to point out how to go about this, I would greatly appreciate it.--Shivohn Songbreeze 18:29, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Oh, it totally needs to go past 1997!! This page needs a ton more work. I added some headers as a bit of structure. It would wonderful if you tackled updating and refining this page. --Mrs. Potato Head 20:06, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Timeline

I'm thinking that a lot of the yearly information here would be best as a Timeline of K/S Fandom (or other title). I know we already have Timeline of Star Trek Fandom and while there would be some overlap, the K/S one would be helpful as its own topic. I think a Timeline page would also help make this page more readable and organized. What do folks think? --Mrs. Potato Head 15:00, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

I think that might help the page from getting out of control. And on the History Page, we could keep the major things like referring to major works/reactions that made an impact. What does everyone else think? --Shivohn Songbreeze 15:06, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

And should I keep the K/S online separate? I mean the past few years in the fandom has been pretty much dominated by K/S Online. Just wanted to make sure, because if so I'll have to move everything I've added so far around. --Shivohn Songbreeze 15:04, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

I'd say K/S online on the timeline shouldn't be separate. And on the history page itself, perhaps it should be a separate section? --Mrs. Potato Head 16:03, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
