Examples earlier than Hanahaki Otome's release

Currently (and in its earliest versions) the articles suggests that the trope existed before Naoko Matsuda's work, if not under the name Hanahaki. If that is true, can someone find examples? --Potpotkettle (talk) 12:44, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
