Does anyone know if this story was the first one mentioning a universe where BDSM was the norm? --Tiyire 08:02, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it was, yes. (Although I find it fascinating that even as far back as Trek fic in zines you had an extremely similar trope, in the Pre-Reform/Ancient Vulcan stories, where often the characters from "our" universe would be transported into this erotic-bdsm/slavery universe, sort of like the plot of "General & Dr. Sheppard" in reverse. There may have been similar stories in other fandoms. But anyway, even if G&DS wasn't actually the first to use such an idea, it and Take Clothes Off As Directed were definitely the first to establish the idea and popularize it as a pan-fandom trope. -- Liviapenn 12:17, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Interesting! I find it fascinating how such tropes develop. --Tiyire 19:46, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
