Talk:Fansplaining: Why Wasn't I Consulted?!
All the other Fansplaining episodes are sorted under F while this one is sorted under W. Is there a special reason for it or is it just a mistake (and is it okay to change it to F)?--Baycitybomber (talk) 08:14, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
Updating links?
A question for anyone who has thoughts; I'm wanting to make Fansplaining articles a mini-project, I'd love to flesh out some of the stubs or resolve red-links! But I noticed on this page and some of the others pre-2019 that the links to transcript/show-notes link out to defunct Tumblr pages, and not to the new episode landing pages on the Fansplaining website. The web-archiving links for the Tumblr pages work!
Is there a best practice for updating these kinds of links when the content isn't dead, just moved somewhere else? If not, I can do something like add the new links w/web archiving and preserve the old Archive link as a secondary link. Thanks! -- Chanterelle (talk) 17:04, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, oh, oh, what a fantastic project, Chanterelle! I'm so happy you want to work on expanding these pages.
- Regarding the links, I recommend leaving the old link there with a note that it is "dead." And add the new links. This is a page that may be useful: https://fanlore.org/wiki/Help:Citing_sources. --MPH (talk) 18:10, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I'm excited to get started! And thanks so much for the reference - I'll take a look and work to note dead links :) Cheers! -- Chanterelle (talk) 18:19, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
