order of example fanworks

Does anyone have a preference about whether the example fanworks should be in (as they are currently) rough date order, or in (alpha?) order by fandom? It looks like they ended up in date order because that's how I reorged the ones at the metafic page at one point, as there it seemed logical (at the time) to show historical progression, but if for this page it makes more sense to group by fandom that would be cool too, imo. (tl;dr - When on a fl page I see lists of example fanworks from different fandoms that don't seem to have any kind of logical order -- by date or by fandom (or by subtrope, whatever) -- I'll usually group them one way or another, depending on the context (or by flipping a mental coin if there doesn't seem to be an obvious reason to choose one over the other), but if people prefer ordering such lists a different way that's great too.) --Sk 23:58, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

I put them in roughly chronological order to try and show when this kind of AU became popular (fairly recently, it looks like), but the examples are by no means complete, just the stories that I found and that jumped out at me. I would love to see some earlier examples or examples from anime/manga fandom. There are a few more fics listed here: http://kink-finders.dreamwidth.org/27601.html, http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/25068.html?thread=110049004#t110049004 --Tiyire 10:24, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
I added the ones from those two links that weren't already on there (and I think one more from the metafic page). Looks they suddenly became more popular (or known) in 2010, but the ones we have on there now just about span a decade. --Sk 02:33, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Putting in my two cents for date order, at least for ones not dating from the past few years. I've added the earliest example I know -- anyone know of any earlier? There must have been a TOS example, surely. Espresso Addict 00:36, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
