Talk:Fanbase
My impression was that "fanbase" included all fans of a thing whether or not they participated in fandom or considered themselves a community.[1] "Fandom" is the active community of fans of a thing. While people often speak loosely and say "fandom" when they mean "canon", the "fandom" is not the source material itself but the community of people interested in it.--aethel (talk) 00:08, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
