why I trimmed this page
Hi fellow Lotripper, I can see you were following rules when you made this page, but until you add more information such as fic names, creating links to and from category pages will only lead readers to disappointment. You can contact me if you want to discuss this, or get advice on how page linking works. I hope you aren't too discouraged, and will add more to Fanlore. --msilverstar (talk) 08:11, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
I see the issue, thanks. I don't usually add multifandom archives so I wasn't entirely certain how to approach the categories. Sobqjmv sphinx (talk) 15:43, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
Actually, I believe that fanlore has no policy for notoriety, and while I did not list fic titles if it is deemed necessary that can be done -- this has just been bothering me, because in the dozens of archive and website pages I have created no one has had a problem with me adding archives to categories, as the point is to make it easier to find every smaller archive including works in the fandom. Is there a policy that I am missing? Sobqjmv sphinx (talk) 21:01, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with Sobqjmv sphinx. Just because this was a small page, doesn't mean it can't have full information; notoriety isn't a requirement. Also, the fact that it is old should not be a factor. While Fanlore can operate as a resource to find fiction to read, that is not its function. Documenting history and fannish engagement is. I support putting the categories back in, and moving forward.
