I read the discussion thread over at Fanlore talk:Issues and decided that Daiken is more well known than Daisuke/Ken, Kensuke, or Kaisuke. This is probably just my personal preference, since I call any story with these two "Daiken." Anyone else have any thoughts? I'm only familiar with the first two seasons, which generally use the portmanteau method of naming ships - Do the other seasons use portmanteaus or do they go the Name/Name route? -Jaetion 21:00, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

I think the general rule here is to use the Name/Name format as the base page, and point the portmanteau(s) there in a redirect. It's so that people who don't know the fandom at all can easily see who the pairing is, and from there they can learn the portmanteau or any other insider info about it. (Especially in a case like this, where there are multiple possible alternatives -- Name/Name is more neutral, and doesn't privilege one fannish preference over another.) So I'm going to move this page to Digimon/Daisuke/Ken, then create redirects from the alternates to point to that page, so anyone looking for Daiken, Kensuke, or Kaisuke will be sent here. Does that sound okay to you? (Also, I'm not in any anime fandoms, and don't want to screw up the name order - is Daisuke/Ken the appropriate way to go? Should it be full names for neutrality, or should the names be reversed?) --Arduinna 21:39, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha. That's absolutely fine - Feel free to change it to Daisuke/Ken. As far as I know, Daisuke/Ken is the order that most fans use; it's also in alphabetical order. I'll definitely bow to any other fan's knowledge/experience on the subject. I just posted to LJ's Daiken community asking for opinion on the matter. Hopefully more people will get involved. Thanks! -Jaetion 19:52, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok, here are the replies I got over at LJ: 8 votes Daiken, 2 for Daiken or Kensuke, 2 for Daiken or Daisuke/Ken; no one selected Ken/Daisuke. -Jaetion 16:31, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Awesome, thank you! --Arduinna 00:28, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
