I think I've about reached the limit on what I can do with this page; I could cover fanon/trends etc. for the small section of the fandom I'm into, but since I don't read or ship the OT4, that's cutting out a huge gigantic chunk of the main axis of DGM fanon -- I hate to go into my niche of Komui fandom/the grownups while the #1 focus of the fandom remains without any coverage. Is there somebody out there who has read enough fic and/or hung around the right places enough to be able to write about the state of things in regards to the OT4 pairings and fanon and such? -Loren Leah 19:56, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
re: Fandom Overview
I think this section may need to be updated for a couple reasons.
1) Because it's no longer serialized in WSJ, many readers don't consider it a Shounen Jump title anymore. I think the North American releases are still Shounen Jump branded (maybe Jump Advanced?) but calling it a Shounen Jump series is a little misleading.
2) The idea of there being a big 4 is not very common in the wider anime/manga fandom at large and even if it were, depending on which segment of the fandom we ask, we'd probably get different answers. For some people, it's Reborn; for others, it's Beelzebub. As of right now, the Big 3 is pretty universally agreed upon. The idea of a big 4, not so much. It may be better just to leave that part out. - inkstone 01:23, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
